I recommend places I genuinely know. I've traveled the train routes, walked the neighborhoods, ridden the ferries, driven the back roads, eaten at the restaurants, stayed at the hotels. I've visited the major cities repeatedly and spent weeks exploring the less-frequented regions and villages across the country.

Early on, I made one decision that shaped everything since: I would only work with a destination I know exceptionally well.

 

That's why DD Atelier focuses on Italy alone — not because I don't know other places, but because I don't believe in recommending places I don't genuinely know.

2. Independent advice

I do not accept commissions from any hotels, restaurants, guides, or experiences I recommend, and I have no financial ties to any business in Italy. When I recommend a guide, book your hotel, or make a dinner reservation, it's because it's right for you — never because it pays better.

3. Collaborative planning and attention to detail

You and I make every important decision together. Nothing is imposed. I'll present experience-tested itineraries, show you hotels, and walk through the pros and cons of including or excluding certain areas — so you always understand why, not just what.

You'll have a clear understanding of anything I propose, and you'll make every final decision. But you won't be making it alone — you'll have my judgment, my network of drivers and guides across Italy, and decades of pattern recognition behind every option on the table.
